This two-color poster was designed with a space along the side to indicate the articles featured in each new issue.
Colin Campbell notes that "here we see the first consistent use of the 'lost outline' that became characteristic of later works" (Beggarstaff, p. 40). This sophisticated graphic invention, which marked their work, consists of characters created with a cut-out effect that appear against a background of flat colors. Despite the poster's historical importance, its progressive design did not match the magazine's informal, chatty tone.
