CUMMINGS (Edward Estlin), The Enormous room, New York, Boni and Liveright, [1922]. 1 volume in-8, publisher's tan cloth boards, in illustrated dust jacket and modern blue morocco flat-back slipcase. First edition of this autobiographical novel by American poet and novelist Edward Estlin Cummings. It recounts his imprisonment in France during the First World War. This copy bears the author's autograph signature on the first white endpaper. It is a good first issue, with the word "shit" on the last line of page 219 uncovered. (The dust jacket is badly torn and missing. Trace of a detached bookplate under the signature).
