North African child's costume in polychrome embroidered fabric with vegetal motifs, openwork metal ball buttons. It consists of a jacket (34 x 27 cm (shoulder width), sleeve length 40 cm), a vest (38 x 24 cm (shoulder width)) and pants 75 x 60 cm. Late 19th century (wear and tear) Provenance: Acquired by the current owner's ancestors in 1899 in North Africa, who provided us with a family photo of the costume worn by René Baudot (1881-1960) in 1889 at the age of 8.
