Georges BOYER for Limoges, Model "WATTEAU VERT", White porcelain dessert service comprising ten plates and one tart dish decorated with a garland of stylized green foliage enhanced with gold. The rim is scalloped with a slightly raised pattern of button stems. Stamp on reverse Plates: diam. 19 cm Platter: diam. 30.8 cm The "Watteau vert" model is based on a door decoration by Antoine Watteau from the Hôtel de Nointel in Paris, entitled "L'Enjoleur", circa 1707-1708 (now in the Musée des Beaux-arts de Valenciennes).
